A regular discount reduces the purchase price. TopUpBoost instead increases the Coupon value the customer receives for their payment, for redemption with your business. RedSky collects the customer payment and settles the agreed coupon purchase price with you according to the agreed settlement terms.
It is a multiplier of the customer's money. If the Boost is x1.15, the customer pays 100€ and receives goods worth 115€. For you, this is the main acquisition tool: the higher the Boost, the higher your store ranks in search results. You are effectively paying for advertising and new customer traffic with your product, not with cash from your marketing budget.
Boost works for the deal here and now, while Cashback works for tomorrow. It is the part of the discount that is credited to the customer's Merchant Coupon Account after payment. They receive Coupon value that can only be spent with you. This is the best guarantee that they will return to you for their next purchase instead of going to a competitor.
The amount settled to you is determined by the commercial terms agreed with RedSky for the respective coupon. RedSky collects the customer payment and settles the agreed coupon purchase price with you, normally immediately or within a few business days.
Coupon value already accumulated by customers remain untouched. Any changes to the settings (total limit or distribution between Boost and Cashback) apply only to new transactions. You manage your future strategy but cannot alter existing obligations to customers.
